IMPORTANT: Due to power outage

- Bainbridge Township Precincts F and I will be voting at the Bainbridge Town Hall, 17826 Chillicothe Rd, Chagrin Falls 44023 instead of Centerville Mills.

 - Parkman Township Precincts A and B will be voting at the Parkman Fire Department, 16299 Main Market, Parkman 44080, instead of Parkman Community House.

Statewide Ballot Issues
Voter Registration for November 7, 2017 General Election

Voter Registration Deadline:
U.S. citizens who have resided in Geauga County for at least 30 days prior to the election and will be 18 years of age or older by November 7th may register to vote at the above address.

Registration Office Hours:

  • Monday through Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • October 10, 2017 – Registration deadline for the November 7, 2017 General Election. Extended hours are 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Registration form requests may be made by mail, in person, telephone or through another person.

Persons who have already registered in any county in the State of Ohio, but have moved to a Geauga County address, or within county, or has had a name change may file a change of address/name form with the Board of Elections, libraries, license bureaus, other designated agencies or on-line at www.MyOhioVote.com by October 10, 2017.

In Person Absentee Voting Hours for the November 7, 2017 General Election

October 11th through October 13th
(Wednesday – Friday) 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

October 16th through October 27th
(Monday – Friday) 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

October 30th through November 3rd
(Monday – Friday) 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Exceptions:

  • Saturday voting hours:
    November 4th, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Sunday voting hours:
    November 5th, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

In person absentee voting ends
Monday, November 6th, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

On Election Day, Tuesday, November 7, 2017, all polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Polling Locations for the November 7, 2017 General Election

The Geauga County Board of Elections has changed several polling location in the County for the November 7, 2017 General Election and for all future elections.

In CHARDON TOWNSHIP (Precincts A and D), for this election only, voters who voted at Celebration Lutheran Church will vote at St. Denis Golf Course, 10660 Chardon Road, Chardon.

In HUNTSBURG (Precincts A and B), voters who voted at the Huntsburg Town Hall will now be voting at the Huntsburg Community Center, 12406 Madison Road, Huntsburg.

In NEWBURY (Precinct A), voters who voted at the Newbury Town Hall will now be voting at the Newbury Auditorium, 14774 Auburn Road, Newbury.

In NEWBURY (Precincts D and E) voters who voted at Grace Evangelical Bible Church will now be voting at the Newbury Auditorium, 14774 Auburn Road, Newbury.

The Board of Elections made these changes in an attempt to provide adequately accessible facilities for all voters in Geauga County.

All Polls for the November 7, 2017 General Election will be open on Election Day from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. As in the past, absentee ballots will be available at the Board of Elections office, 470 Center Street, Building 6-A beginning October 11, 2017. Please check our website at http://boelections.co.geauga.oh.us/ for extended hours and how to obtain an absentee ballot by mail.

Provisional Ballot

If you are unable to locate your voter registration information but think you are registered to vote and you have not moved outside of your county of prior registration, you may be eligible to cast a provisional ballot during in-person absentee voting period at an appropriate early voting location or the county Board of Elections, or on election day at the correct polling place for your current address that may be counted.  We encourage you to check your registration status by contacting your local county Board of Elections.  To find your polling place, please click here or call your county Board of Elections.  Click here for a full listing of Boards of Elections.
