Press Release

The Geauga County Board of Elections introduced the KNOWiNK poll Pad to the citizens of Geauga County during the May 2, 2017 Special Election and received resounding accolades from Precinct Election Officials (poll workers) as well as voters.

The KNOWiNK Poll Pad is an iPad that allowed the Precinct Election Workers to

  • Look up ANY voter by name and address
  • Expedite the sign in process of the voter
  • Determine if the voter has already been issued a ballot (Absentee or Election Day)
  • Verify the voter's signature
  • Track the issuing of ballots (including Provisional)
  • Improve the accuracy by eliminating human error

The KNOWiNK Poll Pads are user friendly and extremely easy to learn to use.

If you would like to see and operate this exciting new technology, please stop in at the Geauga County Board of Elections, 470 Center Street, Building 6-A, Chardon anytime between now and October 11, 2017 during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).  Our staff would be pleased to walk you through the check-in process.
